I Have a Savior!

O.k. well for all of those who know me know that I have grown up in church for as long as I can remember! My family (all of it, cousins, aunts, and uncles, grandparents and all) has always gone to a small church in Mount Olive. Since Luke and I moved to Brandon, we have been attending Pinelake. We have finally made the decision to join! Since we did not grow up in a Baptist church, we have to be baptized. and well, we are!!!! We will be getting baptized this Sunday 9/7/2009 in the Reservoir. God is really been good to us, and Luke and I have been growing in Him every day! I am going to attach a song that is one of my favorites lately. Please go and listen. I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! Do you know how hard it is to get a decent picture with five people in it?? Well, here it is not the best, but at least it is one for memories! We had such a good time this Easter Sunday at church, even if it was with us sitting in the overflow room! Both boys went in to their classrooms with no fuss, and Lucy made it the entire church service with no crying! That is amazing for her! After church we went to Mount Olive and had lunch with the family. The boys enjoyed getting to do what ever they wanted to!
One of my favorite Easter songs is Because He Lives, and with this being Lucy's first Easter, I could not help but think about the words to the a verse in that song!
How Sweet To Hold A Newborn Baby,
And Feel The Pride And Joy He Gives;
But Greater Still The Calm Assurance:
This Child

Can Face Uncertain Days
BECAUSE HE LIVES!

April Giveaways!!!

This sweet girl made a comment on one of my post the other day for me to go to her site and sign up for her April giveaway. I am so glad a checked it out, because it is a 10 piece set of Paula Deen cookware. What wife/mother would not want a new set of pots and pans? And to top it all off, it is to support the American Cancer society's Relay for life. So here is the link to ge t to her blog, and make a comment!

Oh did I mention that this sweet girl found me thru this blog that I have been following called Kelly's Corner? You should check her out to, she has some really good spiritual reads, and a sweet baby girl named Harper that is two days older than my sweet Lucy! So go enjoy some good reads, and have a blessed day!

Meaningful Monday!

There's Muddy footprints on my hardwood floor,
And fingerprints on windows that I just ignored.

Instead I played dress up; I was a Pirate Queen,
I sang Barney and the Wiggles; I raced Lightning McQueen!

We played outside till the day turned to night,
Then prayers and kisses before turning out the lights.

See, my kids know I love them; I have no regrets.
And I sleep sound at night knowing my time is well spent.

Yes, the house looks like someone exploded a bomb,
But, it's just another day for this MISSISSIPPI MOM!

I was searching thru "blogland" today, and came across a family blog of whom the mother had written a poem about being a mother. Everything about this poem is so fitting to my life as a mother to three small children, and a Wife. There are so many days that I lay down at night and think about things that I should have done differently with my children. Like throw the baseball with them a little longer rather than fold the load of laundry that is on my bed. I have really been trying hard lately to be a better wife, mother, and person in general. And when I stop and think about how fast my babies are growing up, it makes me sad to think about how many minutes that I have missed with them because I have been doing house work. You know some things really can wait! I will never get this time back, but I will always have time to keep my house clean! So if any of you visit my house anytime soon, and see that my floors need cleaning, or my furniture needs dusting, feel free to jump in and help do it, but just know that I took that time to spend with my precious kids!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

I can never take enough time to stop and thank the good Lord above for everything that he has given me in my life! My husband is the best thing that has ever happened to me! He makes me strive to be a better person! I could not ask for anything better! I Love to sit and watch him play, and interact with our kids. The boys get so excited when they see his truck drive up in the afternoons! I don't think Luke knows how much he is missed at this house while he is at work! So if you are reading this Luke.... Thank you for all that you do! I know I do not tell you that enough!

It is so hard to believe that this little boy will be four years old in August! It seems like just yesterday that Luke and I were headed to the hospital to have him! He makes me laugh daily with the things that he says! He is our little joke teller, and his favorite thing to do is to make Lucy laugh by telling her a joke!

Look at this face, it just reads TROUBLE! this little boy does not have a scared bone in his body! He thinks he is "10 foot tall and bullet proof!" I love the way that he will lay in his bed for ever and sing himself to sleep, I could listen to that forever! Its hard to believe that he
just turned two!

Oh how God knew what he was doing when he gave us little Lucy! I LOVE all my kiddos to death, but their was an empty place in my heart that was longing for a little girl! Lucy has the sweetest smile, and the cutest little coos that she is learning to make! And to top it all off, she is learning to sleep a little longer at night! I can not wait to see what the future holds for her!

I can not thank God enough for all the blessings that he has bestowed upon me! I truly am blessed!

Lucy's Two Month Check Up!

We took Lucy for her 2 month check up last Tuesday! I can not believe that my little girl is already two months old! They grow up so fast! I had to take a picture of her in this dress, and bonet, because this is the dress that I had bought for her to wear home from the hospital, and she has just now grown enough to wear it. She is becoming more alert, and discovering that there are people out there that love to talk to her! lol! She thinks she should be the center of attention! She is starting to find her hands, and has the sweetest smile I have ever seen! (well, right up there with my boys of course!) We took her to see Dr. Jo-Jo as James Henry calls him! I Love this guy! If we ever had to change Dr.s I really think that I would cry! She had grown so much from her two week check up! And bless her little heart she had to get three shots! she did not like that! (notice the picture of her screaming!) I am going to include her 2 week stats with this post, because I never got around to posting about that appointment, and I want to have a record of it!

Spring Break.... A little late!!!

My friend from JCJC was visiting her parents the week of spring break, and we finally got a chance to get our kids together for a play date! Carly and her family now live in TX, so it is not very often that we get to see them! I really wish we lived closer, so that we could have more play dates, I so enjoyed their visit! It was a very active visit between our bunch! You all know that I have three very small children.....almost 4, just turned 2, and 2 months. Well, between us we had seven, that right seven kiddos in the house! Carly has 2 sets of twins! Her boys are about to turn three, and her girls are about to be two! How she does this I have no idea! She really does amaze me! We attempted to take a picture of all the kiddos, but for those of you who have ever tried to get a picture of more than one child you know how hard it can be! So we did our best, and atleast we did get all of them in the same picture! And Carly if you are reading this, we did have such a good time, and can not wait untill our next get together!

Tough Week

This past week has been one for the record books! I really thought I might loose it at least two times! HA.HA.HA. It actually started last week, when we took James Henry to the Dr to find out he had a respiratory virus. That was on Monday, and on Tuesday Luke Harris started running fever. By Friday we were all fever free, and then Saturday morning gets here and Lucy started running fever. We went to after hours on Saturday, and Sunday and they thought that she just had the same virus that the boys had. On Monday of this week, we went to see Dr Edwards. They tested her for the RSV virus, and sure enough thats what it was! Thats right RSV and she is not even five weeks old! SCARY! Thank goodness it was not very bad yet, and we were able to come home with breathing treatments four times a day, and we did not have to go to the hospital.

When we got home, James Henry's nose was still running like a water hose, and Luke Harris was complaining with his ear hurting. My mom was coming up to help with the kiddos, and told me to go ahead and make them appointments to get checked out just in case! So glad that I did that, because little did I know, James Henry and Luke Harris both had ear infections, and James Henry has the RSV virus also, and we are doing breathing treatments with him as well! UGH!!!! When it rains it pours at the Robinson house!

Thank the good Lord, the kids are taking their breathing treatments so well! James Henry calls it his smoke mask, and pretends he is a fireman. I will post some pictures later.

Since all of this has happened, Luke and I have had to make a hard decision about the boys and school. We have decided to pull them out of MMO until next year. Dr Edwards has talked with us about how low Baby Lucy's immune system will be after having this RSV, and we feel like we can not risk the boys bringing home anything else for her to catch! I can only pray that we have done the right thing for our little family!

Here are some pictures of the boys from their last party at school.

James Henry and his friend Hannah, he talks about her all the time!

Luke Harris and his "buddy" Judson.
He was telling me not to take his picture! He is getting to be so sassy!

Luke Harris was saying cheese and then said, " I really have cheese in my mouth Mama!"

Sleepy baby!

This week has been a rough one, to say the least! James Henry and Luke Harris have had a respiratory virus. They have had fever, a cough that sounds like they have been smoking for years, AWFUL runny noses, and have just felt bad! This all started on Sunday night, and I hope we are finally getting over it. I have tried so hard to keep baby Lucy in a different room from the boys, and have washed all of our hands until they are raw! All we need to top things off is for Lucy at four weeks old (Yes, I said Four, time flies, and that is all I am going to say because it upsets me that my baby is growing that fast!) to get this virus, and have to be put in the hospital.
The boys have not been their usual playful selves! They have slept so much. I put a movie on for them in LukeHarris' room and they were laying in his bed watching it today, when I noticed that James Henry was very quiet. Quiet usually equals trouble! When I walked in, this is what I found! So of course I grabbed my camera before I moved him to his bed!

Luke Harris and Kermit

Luke Harris and James Henry both have such a good time with Kermit the dog, but oh do they fight too! Kermit really thinks he is one of the kiddos! If we have company over, he has to see them, and when Luke gets home from work the dog meets him at the door just like the boys do! that being said, this was what Luke Harris came up to me and said this morning. "Mama, how do I get Kermit to listen to me and do what I say? Do I have to bark at him or growl?"

It's A Girl!!!!

Last Tuesday was a day in mine and Luke's life that we will never forget! We had been to the Dr. on Monday, and he told me that I could stop taking the medicine he had put me on for the pre-term labor. He then told us that we would have a baby on Friday, IF nothing happened in between. I was going about my daily routine with the boys on Tuesday, and making lunch when I started noticing that I was having some contractions. We finished lunch, and I got the boys down for a nap when I realized that I needed to start timing them. I called the Dr when the contractions were between 4-7 minutes apart, and they told me to head to the hospital and get hooked up to the monitors so they could see what was going on. So I called Luke and said this may be it! Luke rushed home from work, and started getting things together. The boys were still asleep, so Luke called on Adam to see if he would come and sit with them until one of the grandparents could get there. We got the the hospital around 2:30. They were so busy delivering babies that day, that it took us until 3:30 to get a room! After we were hooked up for a while, the nurse came in and said that Dr. Tucker had called and said that we would have a baby around 5:30. When family started arriving, everyone kept on and on about how there had been 11 babies born that day, and only two were little boys! I just knew that we would have baby Rhett and make number three! It was around 6:20 or so when they came and rolled me back to surgery. 6:49 p.m. on January 20, 2009, was a moment in mine and Luke's life that we will remember FOREVER! Dr. Tucker, and the nurse told us "IT'S A GIRL!" Luke and i looked at each other with little Lucy screaming in the background and we both had tears in our eyes! At that moment, I felt like my life was complete! So thank you Lucy Elizabeth for completing our little family, and I can not wait to see what the future hold for you and your big brothers!

I think the waiting room was full of our whole family! Everyone was so excited when Luke came out and told them that it was a girl! (Notice the faces in the bottom left picture!) Luke Harris and James Henry were introduced to their baby sister! I can not wait to see the interaction between the boys and little Lucy! I know that she will always have her two wonderful body guards!

Lucy had so many people come to welcome her to the world! Here are some pictures of Lucy and her visitors!

We brought Lucy home on Thursday. The boys have been so good with her! Luke Harris is so proud of his little sister! He tells everyone who walked through the door, "Come look at My sister Lucy!" We attempted to get a family photo before leaving the hospital, and with three little ones, I have come to find out that that is almost impossible! Now that we have baby Lucy home, we are looking forward to finding that new normal, and enjoying our little family of five!

Here are some pictures of the day that we brought Lucy home! You can click on the collage to make it bigger, and then scroll across it to see the whole thing!
